Information about Visions in the Nunnery 2010

Visions in the Nunnery is an annual event that showcases a programme of exciting International artists and curators. It is also an opportunity for artists and audiences to engage with contemporary moving image work both visually and through critical debate.

This unmissable programme will include: the International Open Submission, a number of profiled curated events, performances, talks and forums.

Submissions will be accepted between 1st March and 24th May 2010

Information about the International Open Submission

Last year’s International Open Submission was very popular with over 800 entries from all over the world. This event takes a fresh and original slice of contemporary moving image work, exhibiting both emerging and more established artists side by side.

Past artists have included: Michael Nyman, Karen Knorr, Ori Gersht, Matt Stokes, Oreet Ashery, Chris Meigh-Andrews, Dallas Seitz, Alan Smith, Andrew Cross, Simon Payne, Karen Mirza and Brad Butler, Dinu Li, Steven Ball, Jean-Gabriel Periot and Uriel Orlow. This year we are also expecting to show recent work by acclaimed film-makers and performance artists.
